Twisted Pink

Continuing with "Makeup Week" here is another tutorial entitled Twisted Pink. Who doesn't love pink eyeshadow? I like to add some flare to it by making it a somewhat smokey eye with gold undertones. Love this look and I hope you can add this to one of your looks as well. It is two shades of pink eye shadow and a matte black OR deep purple as the highlight. Of course I'm using my Xpress gold shadow pen as my base and my ELF 100 eye shadow palette. Hope you all enjoy it !

Peacock Swirl Eye Shadow

Hey Loves and welcome back!! I love to experiment with different colors of eye shadow and I was inspired by the color palette of peacock feathers with the blues and greens. But, of course I had to add my own twist to this look so I added some purple to give it a uniqueness. As SPRING slowly but surely approaches, I would like to see much more color added to not only your wardrobe but your makeup as well. Experiment with color and VIBRANT colors such as this blue in this look. I hope you guys love this look and will try it out yourselves. I'm using my ELF 100 eyeshadow palette and my Xpress eye shadow pen in gold for my base( I will always be using this as a base). All eye shadow is applied with my ELF eye shadow brush.

These are the colors being used in this video in case you weren't able to get a good look at them .
Light green for the corners, darker green for the crease, blue as my primary color, and purple towards the brow .

Early Spring: Styling a Banded Skirt

Hey Loves and welcome back!! Today's outfit of the day is a light blue Ralph Lauren oxford, a black tube, a peachy nude banded skirt from Forever 21 and nude heels and a Liz Claiborne shoulder bag. This outfit is inspired by the season of Spring and what the weather makes me feel like as far as wardrobe goes. This skirt was an amazing find. It was $8.50 and zips on the side. I did my best to pair this skirt with pastel and nude colors to let the skirt pop on its own. You can leave the shirt unbuttoned for the boyfriend look, tie it for a little bit of edge or tuck it for something conservative. Adding a small bag and sunglasses are great accessories for this look.  I hope you guys enjoy !!

Feature Friday: Classic Sophisticated

Hey Guys and Welcome back!! Meet Nicole !! Her outfit of the day is a black and white classic vertical striped halter with a high waisted stretch pant, a lace up heel with a blazer to add that sophisticated. Read more about Nicole and her fashion sense!

How would you describe your style?
I would say my style is simple, but trendy. I hate to see people and they looked forced or like they copied something straight out of a magazine. I like to keep things simple, but add some NIKKI to every outfit. I love to incorporate accessories; necklaces and watches are a favorite of mine. My style is very girly, but still edgy at the same time. I guess my style is very much my own, I take bits and pieces from what I see and make it fit me.
Who inspires your sense of fashion?
I’m completely obsessed with Angela Simmons style I love how edgy she is, but always manages to be cute and lady like. I’m also a fan of Karrueche Tran (Chris Brown girlfriend) she always looks cute and put together, but never like she’s trying to hard. Being that I’m a complete city girl I get inspired everyday walking through the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan. New York has so many different people and different styles it’s always interesting to see who’s wearing what.
Favorite thing in my closet:
OMG!!! This is hard I’m definitely a shopaholic so it’s hard to say what my favorite thing is. I would say my rose gold Michael Kors watch, my oversized grandpa burgundy cardigan, and my American Apparel green uni-scarf. LOL couldn’t pick just one!!!
What fashion advice would you give if any?
I would say go with what works for you and what you like. Just because you see someone else in it doesn’t mean it’s for you. Try not to force someone else fashion sense on yourself, but instead take things you see around you and make it your own.

Reinvent and Recycle #2: How to fade denim

Hey guys and welcome back. Today's video will be another reinvent and recycle tip showing how I fade my overalls. I put my overalls in a bleach bath to get them about three shades lighter. If you have some jeans that you brought and they are too dark or they are an old pair, you can try lightning them to make them into something new or something you would like to wear more often. Try fading your jeans or jackets and let me know how they turn out. I hope you all enjoy this tip and remember, nothing should ever be wasted simply reinvented or recycled.

Smokey Purple Eyeshadow

Hey Guys and WELCOME back!! Today I'm doing an eyeshadow tutorial doing one of my signature looks, a slightly smokey purple eyeshadow. The key to doing a smokey eye is you DO NOT want to have that raccoon   eye appearance so be careful with the amount of black you use. This eyeshadow look can be worn out to an event, something a little more dressy or wherever you choose. Makeup has no limits! Comment and Enjoy!! Peace and Blessings

Vintage Classic

This outfit also corresponds with my upcoming styling tips for women over 40. The wide leg/flared jeans are ideal for the slimming look and it also adds length to your body. These jeans should be paired with heels because the jeans are very long and if you wear with flats, they will drag. The vertical striped shirt is also ideal for a slimming look and tucking it in allows the jeans to hold in and give you that flat stomach look. My makeup was light and fresh and the red lips give the entire look something classic. The jeans are from h&m and the shirt was thrifted. If your a woman of short stature, try this jean to give height. The heels are 5 inches high and are a nude platform pump. Although I am already tall, this look gives me an amazing silhouette and the look of extra long legs that I love. Comment and let me know what you guys think!! Peace and Blessings

Long Lasting Lipstick

Hey guys and WELCOME back!! Today, I will be giving a very important tip on how to get your lipstick to last you much longer without having to constantly reapply throughout your day/night. This video is a little different. For those of you that know my personality, this won't come as a surprise but to my viewers that don't, welcome to a different world lol. I hope you guys enjoy and this tip helps you :) Don't forget to comment!! Peace and Blessings ;)

Nail Polish Colors of the Season

A complete look is not just clothes, shoes and accessories. That look includes hair, makeup and nails. But, nails should not be just any color; instead your nails should correspond with the seasons. Lets check out the best nail colors of this Winter season.
This is my nail polish choice for the season. The polish itself is by Revlon and its Midnight 290. I chose this color because its dark and has tints of dark blue and dark green as well. This color is definitely in season ! Vintage photography

A nude color is great for the winter season. It doesn't cause any attention to be drawn directly to your nails before your outfit is seen and it compliments anything you wear. A nude color nail polish is not just for the Winter but is quite versatile for all seasons. [I do not own any rights to this photo, for example purposes only]

Dark Blue and Light Blue are also an option for the Winter season. Be careful when choosing a blue because you don't want to choose something too dark to where it seems black or something too light to where it is more Spring and Summer than anything else. Muted Blues are ideal for the winter season. [Nail polish is by Chanel. I do not own any rights to this image]

Grey is one of my favorites for this season. I'm sure your probably thinking why grey? or Grey is so boring. BUT, in fact this color is quite edgy and outside of the normal nail color choice. Choosing grey which is very mute, will give you that extra edge to anything you wear because its something that not everyone is used to seeing. Step outside the box by choosing a shade of grey for your nails this season.[I do not own any rights to this image]
